For the beauty of Zion National Park without the traffic and crowds, an often overlooked gem is Snow Canyon State Park, located just a few minutes outside of St. George, Utah. This vibrantly colored park encapsulates the beauties of the red Utah desert in 7,400 acres of scenic hiking trails, picnic spots, and campgrounds. Although vegetation in the park is sparse, Snow Canyon is home to desert wildlife, including quail, foxes, lizards, desert tortoises, snakes, and peregrine falcons. $3 per vehicle (up to eight people) Utah seniors 62 and older
